Students involved:

Sycamore School: 44 8th graders

Lycée Pasteur: 9 voluntary 9th graders (writing project); 25 9th graders (video project)

Technology:

School: 3 computers with slow connection in teachers' room,

7 computers library/8 computers science room (no internet connection), 1 printer

Home: 1 computer, 1 printer

Extra: video-camera brought to class and operated by one of the students

Aims:

Practicing target language (description, introductions, narrative), using Word.

Requirements:

• write a narrative about penpals to be published online and in booklet (Sycamore Writing Project)
• no paper used, work submitted digitally to California
• students make a video to introduce :

  a fashion parade
  the school
  the neighbourhood
